Gandhi Bhavan Gate meetup 0610 am -> Ride starts at 0615 am sharp -> Shivaji Putla -> Karve putla -> Karve road -> Nal Stop -> Mhatre Bridge -> Swargate -> Golibaar Maidan -> M.G.Road/Camp ->  Nagar Road -> Aga Khan Palace gate -> Yerawada Jail -> The route back will be the same.

Description:

2nd October, as we all know, is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He has been one of the most prominent figures in India’s Independence struggle. A tribute to the great man, by visiting his Pune connections on the cycle is what we thought we could do best, this Saturday, 2nd October 2021.

It’s a 40 kms moderate paced ride with a couple of stops for regroups, photo ops and some time to be spent at some of the locations which have a Gandhi Connection. The route is predominantly within Pune City and the traffic on a Saturday morning will be moderate.

Please carry spare tubes, a personal puncture repair kit, at least 2 liters of water, some snacks like biscuits and/ or dry fruits for energy and some glucose powder/ tablets. In addition to this, it’s advisable to carry a rain jacket and a plastic pouch for wallets and phones in case of rain.

Total time taken for the ride will be somewhere close to 4 hours, since we will be taking breaks for regroups, having conversations, spending some time at the different locations/ spots and clicking some great pictures, in addition to breaks that occur due to rains or anything else.

We will be a group of 30 cyclists max. So please confirm your seats at the earliest!

Inclusions: Route Expertise, Mechanical Assistance in case of a puncture, Tea (at pre decided location by team SW) Hydration support and Back up vehicle.            

Exclusions: Breakfast /Snacks Mechanical support, any other cost than mentioned in Inclusions.
