Event Name: Independence Day Ride

Start time: 0600 am at NDA junction - Chandni Chowk, Bavdhan

Ride route:

Chandni Chowk, Bavdhan meet up at 0600 am ->  Ambrosia -> Bhugaon ->  Manas Climb ->  Pirangut top ->  Regroup 1 Climb down Pirangut ghat ->  Move towards Paud bus stand ->  Regroup 2 ->  head towards Mulshi -> Climb small ghat at Mulshi ->  Ride upto Mulshi lake view point ->  National Anthem  -> breakfast ->  Return via same route.

Description:

As we complete 75 years of an Independent India, let's ride as a tribute to all the martyrs who fought for it and gave us a Free Nation!!! It’s also a good occasion to ‘free yourself’ from the fear of attempting tough rides and celebrate Independence day with like-minded people!!!!

It’s a 75 kms moderate paced ride (to and fro) with a couple of stops for regroups, photo ops and a light breakfast with the occasional tea break!! The terrain is predominantly rolling with a couple of climbs, at Manas, Mulshi etc. It’s a tiring ride for sure, but what better opportunity to push your limits on Independence Day!!! It's an awesome feeling to sing the national anthem with a bunch of fellow cyclists in the scenic locale of Mulshi.

Please carry spare tubes, a personal puncture repair kit, at least 2 liters of water, some snacks like biscuits and/ or dry fruits for energy and some glucose powder/ tablets. In addition to this, it’s advisable to carry a rain jacket and a plastic pouch for wallets and phones in case of rain.

Total time taken for the ride will be somewhere close to 6 hours, since we will be taking breaks for regroups, a light breakfast, having conversations and clicking some great pictures, in addition to breaks that occur due to rains or anything else. We also will be singing the National Anthem at the Mulshi lake view point to make this a memorable Independence Day celebration.

We will be a group of 25 cyclists max. So please book your seats at the earliest!
